Romantic Road Tour

Bavaria, southern Germany, centered on the Alps

Arrive at Frankfurt Airport, the economic capital of Germany and the Hanseatic city, meet your local guide (schedule may vary depending on arrival time) and head downtown to visit Römerberg, Seilstrasse, Goethe's Birthplace, and Hauptbach .

This is a historic site where a celebratory banquet was held after the coronation of the Holy Roman Emperor. Most of it was destroyed by Allied bombing during World War II, and the current buildings have been restored to their original state.

Move to Mainz (30 minutes)

Gutenberg Museum

The Gutenberg Museum, which exhibits the technology and history of movable type, displays tools and movable type used in movable type printing at the time, and important materials created by him, including the Gutenberg Bible.

Karl Theodor Bridge

The sculptures on both sides of the bridge (the sculpture of Elector Karl Theodor) are wonderful, and the view of the Neckar River from the bridge is beautiful, but the view of Heidelberg Castle is especially beautiful.

Transfer to Rüdesheim (time required: 1 hour 30 minutes)

Lorelei Hill

Lorelei, which means 'fairy rock', is a large rock on the right bank of the Rhine River near St. Goarshausen in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, famous for its legendary stories told in poetry.

Cologne Cathedral

It is a masterpiece and representative work of German Gothic cathedrals, with an impressive spire that seems to stab at the ceiling. It is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With a spire height of 157.4m, it is the largest Gothic cathedral in Germany.

Marburg Castle
