French Festival

Renaissance Festival
Since 1986, every third weekend in September, Puy-en-Velay has hosted a popular festival of high cultural standards, in which the town revisits its glorious past under the pretext of an ancient and authentic archery competition.
A four-day reconstruction of 16th-century daily life and street performances in Bellei.

Bordeaux Wine Festival
One of the largest wine festivals in Europe, this biennial event takes place on the banks of the Garonne River, where attendees can meet winemakers, taste their wines, and explore the legendary sailing ships. From regional specialities to fireworks and music concerts, it is a great way to experience the local culture.

Festival of Provins
A UNESCO World Heritage site with a medieval European theme, the festival features dancing, music, games, jousting, street performances, traditional medieval balls, a large medieval concert and a must-see parade with 700 people in medieval costume. The weekend recreates the festive atmosphere of the Champagne Fair.

Lyon Festival of Lights
The first church dedicated to the Virgin was built in Fourvière in 1168. It was devastated during the Wars of Religion (1562) between Catholics and Protestants, and on September 8, 1643, Adil and the town council went to Fourvière to ask the Virgin Mary to protect the city from a plague that had come from southern France.

Menthon Lemon Festival
The Menton Lemon Festival, which began in 1875 when hoteliers proposed to the local government to create a carnival parade to liven up the city in the winter, has become a representative French festival in February, attracting more than 240,000 tourists every year over 20 days. The highlight of the festival is the Golden Fruit Parade.

Strasbourg Festival
The festival, which begins in late November every year, creates a fairytale-like atmosphere, allowing you to rediscover and experience Alsace and its traditions. Every year, as Christmas approaches, the villages in the Alsace region transform into a Christmas festival atmosphere.
